Open Space
Every time a new road is laid, precious acres of open space are converted to aesthetically unpleasing asphalt. As urban sprawl continues to envelop our suburbs citizens living in New Jersey's suburbs are becoming increasing vocal about the preservation of nature.
Building new roads or adding lanes to an existing road are not the answers to reducing traffic congestion. Expanding public transportation systems and encouraging carpooling and vanpooling are just two ways to reduce the need to expand our road system.
